On 1 March, Norwegian-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce, together with Swedish and Danish Chamber of Commerce, organised a traditional regional trip with Scandinavian company visits in Panevėžys and Biržai.

The first visit to Norwegian-owned DEVOLD, engaged in making knitwear and located in Panevėžys Free Economic Zone. In 1998, the company decided to move it’s production from Alesund (Norway) to Lithuania. The value of investment here is 14 mln. Eur.

The second visited company in Panevėžys was a Danish-capital RFX Care, established in 1979 with factories in China and Lithuania. The company is developing, manufacturing and distributing safety products, First Aid kits and reflectors.

The trip continued to Biržai with a visit to a Swedish company SLT Industrial Components, engaged in contract manufacturing for such sectors as automotive industry, medicine, wood- and forestry, etc.

The tour ended at Lithuanian brewery “Rinkuškiai” with a savory dinner and beer tasting! Overall, this trip was a real discovery that foreign companies bravely invest into regions and make positive impact on innovative production and activities of Lithuanian regions. This was a real best practice visit and encouragement for potential new investments and development.
