Expanded Radisson Blu Hotel In Vilnius Ready to Host Even More Guests
September 14, 2018, Vilnius, Lithuania. The half year long remodeling and expansion Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva, largest hotel in Lithuania, had been completed. The four-star hotel has not only grown into a two-building complex but is now offering Premium class rooms, a wellness center, expanded restaurant and parking lot, a remodeled lobby and other spaces.
After the completion of this stage in its development, the total area of the Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva is 39,500 square metres, and it offers 456 guest rooms. This means that the four-star Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva, part of Radisson Hotel Group, has become the biggest hotel in Lithuania based on the number of rooms.
The Mayor of Vilnius, Remigijus Šimašius congratulated the hotel on its opening: “I congratulate the Radisson group on completing another significant stage of development in our capital. I am thankful to hotel management for their contribution to the hospitality of Vilnius, promotion of the city and setting a high benchmark for the services they provide to our city guests. I am certain that the new building will contribute to the rapid and sustainable development of Konstitucijos avenue”.
During the most recent expansion a brand new eight-story building has been constructed. The first floor will be occupied by such businesses as Sixt Lietuva (UAB Transporent) and Narvesen, while the second and third floors will host the offices of Carggo Europe and other enterprises.
The remaining five floors are allocated to hotel rooms. After renovation and expansion “Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva” has become the first hotel in the chain to offer Premium class rooms. These rooms were furnished according to the new Radisson Blue hotel quality and interior standards. Compared to standard rooms, they are more spacious and have modern interior design solutions that tailor the hotel to the needs of business travelers.
“The quality of services and improvement of their every aspect is one of our top priorities. We strive to make the visit to Vilnius an unforgettable experience to all our guests. We have no doubt that the environment that’s been elevated to a new quality standard will be a significant part of that experience”, said Massimo Supino, CEO of Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva.
He also stressed that the focus of remodeling and expansion was not only the improvement of guest comfort, but also security. An independent international organization “Safehotels” has issued a certificate stating that Radisson Blu Hotel Lietuva complies with the international Premium class hotel security requirements.
Hotel guests and conference attendees will have access to an over ground parking lot that has expanded twice in size and a two-story underground parking garage under the new building that also has EV charging spots.
An updated and expanded hotel restaurant can now serve 80 additional guests with the total capacity now reaching 380 people. The wellness center was expanded and improved with top of the line training equipment. Remodeled hotel lobby and bar now form a space that allows guests to both spend time among people and comfortably work or have business meetings.
The hotel building belongs to the A+ Energy Efficiency Class. Comfort inside the building is ensured by an advanced environmentally friendly heating and ventilation system that reduces energy consumption. The hotel will also be awarded with a BREEAM certificate in recognition of its excellence in implementing modern design and efficiency and guests’ comfort and wellbeing.
The owners of the hotel, Linstow AS, entrusted the design and construction of the building to the company UAB Merko statyba on the basis of a detailed plan. The architect, Saulius Mikštas, maintains that the structure was designed with the aim of harmoniously blending in with the surrounding cityscape as well as the existing hotel building, which has become an integral feature of the Vilnius urban landscape.
