Norway and Lithuania have developed a close political and economic bilateral cooperation since the restoration of diplomatic relations in August 1991. Norway established its embassy in Vilnius in November of the same year. Many Norwegian businesses have interests in Lithuania and trade between the countries continues to grow.
The embassy’s staff covers political, economic and cultural issues, as well as consular matters. Norway has honorary consulates in Kaunas and Klaipeda.
