⚔️ Cultural Evening – Viking Boat Tour on the Neris River ⚔️
Experience ancient Viking life with traditional Viking songs, ship rowing on the Neris River, and a taste of Norwegian “water of life” – Aquavit. A unique cultural journey awaits! 🚣
Together with Baltic Vikings, a growing community of captains, educators, musicians, and living history enthusiasts, we will embark on a time-travel journey back to the 9th–11th centuries, when the Baltic rivers were full of trade, mysteries, and adventure.
During this 1.5-hour experience, we will row, sing ancient songs, share stories, take photos, and taste 4 types of Norwegian Aquavit – Gammel Opland, Arvesølvet, Løiten Sommer, and Linie – as well as homemade mead prepared by the Viking boat crew. Additional drinks such as beer and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
You will hear and experience tales of spices, textiles, jewelry, distant merchants, weapons, and the secrets of rulers – all brought to life on the river.
After the boat trip, we invite you to continue the evening with a dinner in the Old Town (venue TBA, at your own expense).
